Gorgeous silver serving spoons purchased from our friend Cecibel Martinez.
Cecibel, whose family has been in the silver biz in various capacities since the
mid-1800s (crafting it, buying it, selling it), has a lustrous little shop on
the main drag of Calle Sagarnaga, near the Catedral de San Francisco.

Talk about a sterling tradition: starting with her great-grandfather,
who was a silversmith in the mid-1800s, Cecibel Martinez’s family has been
making and selling silver goods for a very long time. The spoon with the carved handle was actually cast by her grandfather, sold to a customer, and
then, much later, resold back to Cecibel, whose mother recognized the unique
design as her father’s handiwork.
