A symbol of strength, power and good luck—especially when its trunk is pointed up!—the elephant (esono in Twi) holds a place of honor in Ghanaian culture, though their numbers in West Africa are limited. We purchased these lovely brass figurines from a man named Akwasi Noreur, who practices the art of lost-wax casting.
