Named after the Hmong’s Ua Neeb healing ritual, this vintage shaman book comes from the Northwest highlands of Vietnam. If a member of the Hmong tribe is gravely ill they will call upon the shaman, or healer, to perform the Ua Neeb ceremony. As the intermediary between the spiritual and humankind, the shaman will enter a trance and travel through the spirit world to discern the cause of the problem and remedy the situation by ‘bringing the soul home’.
