• Street Art in Krakow, Poland

Outside the Old City, the drab grayness left behind after the iron curtain was lifted, is slowly being transformed by art, often at the request of city authorities. The spirit of street art as a form of protest, however, remains. The artist Pikaso invited to paint a mural as part of the city-sponsored 2012 Grolsch ArtBoom festival painted this mural, “For God’s Sake the Censorship is Everywhere” when the authorities refused to allow him to create his original design.
