• There at the weaving coop, the air is filled with the clickety-clack of weavers going about their business. One of these nimble-fingered artisans is a man named Eric Kwartong. Eric was born in Bonwire and every male member of his family from as far back as anyone can remember is or was a weaver (weaving in Ghana is a boy’s club, and women are strongly discouraged from joining). Eric himself learned to spin at the age of 10.
