  Although it feels like sacrilege in a city that competes so fiercely with southern Vietnam for culinary superiority, a dish of bún bò nam bộ, south Vietnamese style beef noodles, topped with cucumbers, lettuce, papaya slivers, fresh herbs, crushed peanuts and fried onions makes the perfect ending to any street food feast.
